Jason Anane-Sefah, M.D. is a bi-lingual, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in hand surgery and is one of the few local physicians skilled in arthroscopic wrist surgery. In addition, he performs microsurgery and replantation of the digits, wrist and forearm. He is also experienced in complex wrist surgeries, reconstruction and fixation procedures.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Anane-Sefah is passionate about helping patients here and abroad. In addition to his role at Great Plains Orthopaedics, he has served as a physician volunteer with Hope Clinic for six years in Ghana.

Dr. Anane-Sefah is active in professional associations, research and has given numerous presentations including “Grand Rounds: Pediatric Forearm and Wrist Fractures” at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, “Family Practice Review: Diagnosis and Management of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome” at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC and “Grand Rounds: Management of Gout in the Upper Extremity” at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His professional associations include American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Anane-Sefah enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and traveling. He is also interested in wine appreciation and discussing movies with fellow Great Plains physician Dr. Clark Rians.
