Bio
Jennica M. Finchum, PA-C loves surgery and has always been involved in sports. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology with a sports medicine minor, so orthopedic surgery was a perfect fit.
Most memorable patient or case: Jennica cared for a young man who was involved in a severe car accident and had to stay in the hospital for many months. She became friends with him and his wonderful family through this terrible tragedy. It was amazing to see him overcome so much and witness true family support and prayers that helped him to heal.
Community involvement: She has participated in the Memphis to Peoria St. Jude run for many years. She also volunteers at her children’s school and church when I have a chance.
Hobbies: Running, anything that her kids are involved in, reading
Family: Husband, Andrew Finchum. Son, Edward Finchum. Son, Chet Finchum
Philosophy: Jennica has always had an interest in helping people and the medical field fit nicely. It’s always changing and there’s new research out all the time so it’s an area where I can constantly learn new things, which she loves. She is able to get to know patients and be able to help them enjoy life to its fullest. She chose Peoria because she really liked the job that Great Plains Orthopaedics offered and it wasn’t too far from home in Indiana. They have come to really enjoy the Peoria area and all of the fun things it has to offer.
